My Mother The Carjacker
Built with three solid musicians, My Mother the Carjacker has completed a diverse piece of art seeping pleasant, gritty and humourous sounds catering to a fluid audience that likes good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll and beyond. Live, MMCJ is uncaged, rabid and wild releasing a spoiled whirlwind of energy. VanMusic
We’re a rock and roll band; we play really fast and really hard.” So says guitarist Kirill Telichev about his band The Suppliers, and there’s really not a lot more to it than that – straight to the point and bullshit-free, not unlike the Calgary-based quartet’s balls-out brand of punk-tinged rock and roll.
The Suppliers Telichev, drummer Sean Friend, bassist Robito Cortez and vixen vocalist Ashtyn Beaudette – boast a bold sonic signature with an intensity borrowed from Seattle’s golden era of grunge, the rockabilly of a rowdy Nashville roadhouse, and swagger stolen from CBGBs’ spit-soaked stage.
