The Echo Presents
Tiny Moving Parts, Choir Vandals
New Jersey’s Dads may be leading the “emo revival” that seems to have the entire music world buzzing these days, but Pretty Good finds the indie-rock leaning two-piece exploring darker territory on their latest EP. Winning accolades everywhere from Pitchfork (“irrepressible spirit and ambition”) to NPR (“one of the bands I’m most excited about right now”) to the AV Club (“it strikes [a] balance of proficiency and punchiness”), it’s clear that Dads have captured the attention of wider audiences in these four tracks. After a successful summer tour with Pity Sex and The World Is… followed by a Fall spent touring Europe, the band are prepared to play to bigger audiences than ever before as they embark on tour with Reggie and the Full Effect in early 2014. The upcoming year also carries the promise of their sophomore full length on 6131 Records, with more details soon to come.
