The Afghan Whigs world tour in support of Do to the Beast has been extended to include late summer & fall dates for North America. The trek begins with a two-night stand on August 26th & 27th in Portland, OR at Doug Fir that runs through October 31st in Austin, TX at The Mohawk. Tickets for most shows will go on sale this week. Meanwhile, The Afghan Whigs previously announced late spring & summer schedule kicks-off this Thursday, May 15th in New York with a sold out show at Brooklyn Bowl and runs through July 20th in Dublin, Ireland at the Longitude Festival.

Their new critically acclaimed album, Do to the Beast, landed the band their first-ever U.S. & U.K. Top 40 album debut. The Afghan Whigs will be performing a track from the new album on The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday, June 4th. The band will also be performing on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic on August 25th.
