Winnipeg Boyz (Pegcity)

The Winnipeg Boyz, is a duo that provides listeners with music and lyrics as raw and visceral as the city that gave them their name. The duo is comprised of two emcees, Heatbag Records Jon-C & Charlie Fettah. Before forming the partnership that is the Winnipeg Boyz, the two co-founders of the western Canadian super group “Winnipeg’s Most”. Jon-C & Charlie Fettah toured 28 dates across western Canada successfully , along with a interview in an article in McLean’s magazine “ Straight Outta Winnipeg”. These two multiple Award winning emcee’s won 9 APCMA Awards* (Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards), and were featured in the CBC documentary The 8th Fire. All within Their First two years. Now The Heatbag Generals Are Back at it.

The Winnipeg Boyz released their debut album “Ab Initio” on November 5th 2013. It immediately climbed to #12 on iTunes top hip-hop chart. Winnipeg Boyz chart climbing has been Incredible considering their competition were artists such as Eminem, Kanye West and Drake. The Winnipeg boyz have developed their fan base and consistently supplied them with raw talent, presence, and hard-hitting lyrics, combined with top-notch production. The beats for Ab Initio were provided by Juno nominated producers, Stomp and Boogey the Beat as well as 2oolman.
