Brick and Mortar Music Hall San Francisco

A long-standing dispute between the Brick & Mortar Music Hall and the San Francisco Entertainment Commission may be coming to a head as the owners of the live music venue attempt to have restrictions placed on the club lifted.

The months-long conflict began in May, when the owners of Brick & Mortar appeared before the commission to deal with complaints from neighbors and two years' worth of unpaid citations.

The result of the meeting was a list of restrictions on the club, a curfew of 11:30 p.m. on weeknights and 12:30 a.m. on weekends, an 80-decibel volume cap, improvements to existing soundproofing and installation of an in-house phone line for neighbors to call when the music was too loud.
