In March 2002, Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva Opened Their first restaurant, Butter to the public. Featuring a unique design, Butter represents a new breed of American Restaurants. Richie and Scott were inspired by the idea of giving the best of both worlds in one space: a formal dining atmosphere upstairs with great food and a more “laid back” area downstairs for the casual diner.
Each of Butter’s three dining spaces has a unique atmosphere and decor….
The Great Room, a bright, airy dining room located on the main floor, features vaulted ceilings carved in Western Red Cedar and a large photographic mural of a Birch forest softly illuminating the room from the back wall. The space is appointed with classic supper club style booths covered in soft, moleskin and plush mohair and several intimate tables for two. The twelve-Seat bar, where diners can enjoy a casual meal, is fitted in walnut and complimented by tanned leather barstools.
