Dirty Disco

Dirty Disco Walk past the discreet entrance of New York ’s hottest new club, Dirty Disco, and you might mistake the space for one of the city’s hippest art galleries. The sparse, stylish and modern entryway hardly looks like what you’ve come to expect from the garish, over-the-top night clubs studding the city scene. A dual entry to the cozy main floor as well as to the space’s intimate lower level, both offer a retro-1970’s decadent feel that can easily transform from a laid-back lounge to high energy disco the blink of an eye. Upon entering the upper level club goers will access to the generous bar area opens up to an even more generous lounge. Comfy banquets line walls papered with retro red and gold paper, designed by world-renowned Australian artist Florence Broadhurst. Orange domed light fixture set a mellow mood throughout the area, but especially so in the oversized VIP area in the very back of the room. There are two DJ booths available in the space. Music lovers will be blown away by Dirty Disco’s spectacular sound system. If you in search of a different scene, you just need to make your way to the stairwell, where magnificent nude photographs by artist Lane Coder are taking the lead on the way down. On the lower level you will find red velvet retro wallpaper throughout, but the most inspiring element of the lower lever has to be 35-foot recessed panel housing 7 whirling, glittering disco balls.   When you get to the club...
