El Paso County Coliseum

El Paso County Coliseum is a 5,250-seat multi-purpose arena in El Paso, Texas.

Late 1940's - 1970's

In addition to rodeo, many legendary musical artists performed here: Elvis Presley, Little Richard, The Jackson 5, James Brown, Fats Domino, Foghat, Peter Frampton, Blue Oyster Cult, Chicago (Band), Ranchera Legends, Vicente Fernandez, and Luis Aguilar.

Events also included high school graduations, UTEP Basketball, Circus, Ice Capades.

1980's - 2000

In the 80's and 90's The Coliseum continued to be a ritual stop for most heavy rock acts AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, David Lee Roth while still hosting family events i.e. Circus, Ice Shows.

In 2005, The El Paso County Coliseum underwent a 9.5 million dollar renovation. The improvements included electrical power upgrades, bathrooms, new seats, and a new HVAC system.

In 2006 Nine Inch Nails filmed, in part, their Live, In Concert High Definition DVD "Beside You In Time".

Present Day

The Coliseum still is host to a variety of events, including Disney on Ice, Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus, George Carden Circus, Walking with Dinosaurs, Trade Shows, Monster Trucks.

The Coliseum remains the focal point for Latin Entertainment in the El Paso, Juarez MX, Las Cruces, NM region. Recent artists shows. Mana, Luis Miguel, Alejandro Fernandez, Conjunto Primavera, Vicente Fernandez, Chayanne, Juanes, Stone Temple Pilots.

Most recently, the El Paso County Coliseum has become home to the 2009 expansion El Paso Generals of the Indoor Football League.
