Madame Walker Theatre Center
Established by Madam C.J. Walker's family in the 1920s, this theatre is one of the most significant performance venues in Indianapolis and is dedicated to celebrating African American culture and arts, including the art of comedy. Once a month, a comedy showcase entitled "Laughin' On The Avenue" brings nationally acclaimed comedians to transform the renowned theatre into a high-energy comedy club, leaving audience members breathless with laughter. A cash bar adds to the vivacious atmosphere.
