Madhatter`s Ball 2005 at The Show Department/Resolution Digital Studios! Chicago

CHICAGO (July 21, 2005) – On Saturday, August 20, 2005, annual celebrity hosts David Schwimmer (“Friends”), Joey Slotnick (“Nip/Tuck,” “Boston Public,” “Alias”) and Chicago Entertainment Mogul Billy Dec welcome Chicago’s movers and shakers to “mad” fun at the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board’s fourth annual fundraiser, the Madhatter’s Ball. After raising over $120,000 dollars to benefit the Lookingglass Theatre last year, the dynamic trio – which has spearheaded support for the Theatre since its inception – expects even greater impact in 2005.

The Madhatter’s Ball will begin at 9 p.m. and will be held at Resolution Digital Studios (2226 West Walnut Street), a state-of-the-art venue in Chicago’s booming West Loop neighborhood. Guests will be transported into “Wonderland,” the theme of this year’s event, as they explore the multi-level, thematically transformed space and socialize the night away among Chicago’s glitterati.

Tickets – which sell at lightning speed every year – are on sale now through August 19 (General $100, VIP $250); they will also be available for purchase the day of the event (General $125, VIP $300). Tickets may be purchased at www.tickets.com and at the door the evening of the event.

Jennifer Hogg and Amanda Puck (Experiential Agency), longtime volunteers for the Lookingglass Theatre and actively involved throughout Chicago, are co-chairs of this year’s event. They and a talented committee of volunteers have secured leading local entertainment that will perform live throughout the evening, as well as delectable bites provided by some of the city’s most renowned restaurants, such as Rockit Bar & Grill; Blue Water Grill; Enrique’s; JP Chicago; X/O; SushiSamba Rio; L8; Sangria; McCormick & Schmick’s; The Melting Pot; 437 Rush; Motel and many others.

The Madhatter’s Ball will also boast an impressive collection of live and silent auction items, including musical instruments autographed by leading musicians; private cooking classes with renowned chefs; sports packages; destination getaways and gift certificates to the finest restaurants, hotels, salons and spas.

Generous sponsors for this year’s event include Saturn; Anheuser Busch (World Select and Bud Light); LaSalle Bank, Belgravia Group; Bacardi; Southern Wine & Spirits;
Moet & Chandon; Redbull; Coke; Bloomingdale’s; Ford Models; Chicago magazine; WTMX-FM; Zisook Family Foundation; Jacqueline Schwartz; and Richard Weinberg.
