The Whiskey Bar & Grill at the Sutton Place Hotel opened in 1998, introducing a unique brand of chic and sexy nightlife to Chicago. Nine years later, the Whiskey Bar & Grill has undergone a reinvention in partnership with pioneer of Modern Mexican cuisine and Bon Appetit Restaurateur of the Year, Chef Richard Sandoval to open MEXX Kitchen & Bar at The Whiskey. Located on the ground floor of the Sutton Place Hotel, Chef Sandoval’s authentic modern Mexican cuisine features a wide range of options including traditional fare, authentic Latin, and Mexican cuisine with a modern twist.
In synergy with Chef Sandoval’s cuisine, acclaimed theatrical designer Charles Infante created a unique interpretation of a traditional Mexican theme evoking hints of deep-rooted Latin archetypes with a sophisticated edge for both the restaurant and bar.
