ONYX has been voted one of the ten best new restaurants in Canada for 2004.
This Spring Garden Road restaurant melds comfortable and sexy surroundings, boasting a backlit bar made of onyx. The kitchen offers sharing platters and a two- or three-course Prix Fixe menu, which changes weekly. Executive Chef Tahir Salamat’s creations riff on influences from around the world. Mojitos, the Cuban cocktail made with muddled fresh tropical fruit, are the cocktail specialty. The wine list features 150 wines by the bottle and over 30 by the glass, all served in varietal-specific Riedel stemware.
