Welcome to the Ark Info section of the website. Here you can find out everything you need to know about the club itself --who we are--including an amazing list of performers who have played The Ark, how you can help us out by volunteering, driving and parking directions, information on Ark gift certificates and merchandise, a seating chart and accessibility information, and Ark policies. You can also find out about membership and how to make contributions.
The Ark's concession is separate from the music listening space. We offer popcorn, cookies, and a variety of soft drinks at our concession counter. We also offer beer and wine, but you must be a member to purchase alcoholic beverages.
The Ark is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enrichment of the human spirit through the presentation, preservation and encouragement of folk, roots and ethnic music and related arts. The Ark provides a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all people to listen to, learn about, perform and share music.
The Ark depends on members, donors, and volunteers to stay afloat. Ticket sales pay for only 70 percent of what it costs to run The Ark each year; memberships and other contributions help make up the difference.
There are several ways you can support The Ark. Individual memberships offer a range of benefits including bar privileges for you and your friends under The Ark's private club liquor license. As a corporate sponsor, your company will join a host of other southeastern Michigan firms that read like a who's who of the local business scene. Corporate sponsorship makes your company part of the fabric of the Ann Arbor community, and as they say, you can't buy that kind of exposure. And contributions of time are priceless gifts to The Ark.
