The Shrine Chicago

A dynamic fusion of sensuous nightclub, state-of-the-art live performance space, and high-end lounge. The Shrine, established in 2009, is a next generation nightclub in the emerging South Loop district of Chicago.

The venue takes its name from the personal nightclub of legendary Nigerian musician/human rights activist Fela Kuti. The Shrine has established itself as Chicago’s home for soulful music across an eclectic cross-section of genres including, Afro Beat, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, Disco, House, Reggae and Dancehall.

The Shrine brings together the city’s music, fashion, art, and dance communities to form a truly diverse, trendsetting clientele. With an “Africa meets James Bond” design aesthetic, The Shrine looks and feels at once both raw and refined, classic and modern, underground and chic.
