Welcome to the world-famous Tugboat Grill & Pub, a Steamboat Springs tradition in its 39th year. In 1999 the Tugboat was named by Snow Country Magazines readers as one of their Top Ten favorite ski area bars.
The Tugboats antique bar was taken from the Log Cabin Saloon in Baggs, Wyoming, and dates from 1850. This Baggs saloon was frequented by Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, as well as many other outlaws, as the Baggs territory was once a refuge from law and order. The bar is completely hand carved cherry wood and was purchased and brought, in pieces, to the The Tugboat from Baggs. It has been reassembled, complete with brass rail, original mirrors, and a bullet hole in one of the columns.
Throughout the years, The Tugboat has been proud to host many celebrities and sports figures whose pictures line our walls. Take a moment to look around for familiar faces. Our walls are also galleries of events, friends, sport trophies and animal trophies donated and collected over the years.
The Tugboat is proud of its reputation for great food, affordable prices, friendly service, and the best nightly entertainment in the valley. Sit back and enjoy yourself, or as we say at The Tugboat, have some fast times, hard laughs, grub, suds and liquor. Most important, enjoy our hospitality and come see us often.
