The Vera Project is an all ages live music venue, playing various types of music. It is located at 4th and Virginia in Seattle, WA. The 260-capacity performance room comes complete with stage, backstage area, sound booth and yes, a $25,000 donated sound system. This is a non-profit venue whose proceeds are donated back to the Vera's youth arts programs. "We want to provide entertainment, have a place for emerging bands to perform and get paid for it, and a place for people to learn a vocation, like booking, promotions, lighting or sound." The Vera Project (Vera) is a youth focused, volunteer-based, non-profit organization that produces live music and arts performances for people of all ages. Vera blends the expertise of some of Seattle's most experienced music and arts producers with the ambition, talent, energy, and resourcefulness of Vera Project volunteers, most of whom are between the ages of 14 - 19 years old. It provides an opportunity for young people to see live music in a safe, alcohol-free environment and a chance for young people to gain valuable skills in event production and community organizing.
