Event Spaces

Italian Pre-Function Room & Grand Ballroom

The Italian pre-function room is a marbled foyer with hand-painted gold ceilings. The 10,000-square-foot ballroom has 16’ ceilings with chandeliers and a stage. The Grand Ballroom is also equipped with 33 permanently-installed rigging points in the ceiling, each capable of supporting 1,000 pounds. It features a robust power infrastructure, capable of handling applications that require reliable and dedicated power distribution solutions.

Mission Bay

The view from this room is one of the best in the city. Decorated in tones of imperial blue, periwinkle, violet and gold, Victor’s Palace is beautifully and sumptuously designed, with floor-length windows that overlook the Bay Bridge, Pacific Bell Park and the Financial District. Victor’s is named for the legendary Victor Hirtzler, venerable chef of the St. Francis from 1904 until 1926, who is said to be one of the pioneers of California Cuisine. Every detail in this room was custom designed to make you and your guests feel luxurious.

St. Francis Suite

One of our most treasured banquet facilities, The St. Francis Suite was originally a residence in the early 1900’s, and has been completely restored to reflect the iconic nature of the room. Guests arrive via a hardwood floor foyer with elegant overhead lighting. To the left, the original Study and Library are the perfect locations for small breakout rooms, food service, or even dancing. The East Room, once the residence’s grand parlor, overlooks Union Square and has plenty of natural lighting, as well as intricately carved ceilings and a decorative fireplace. This suite also includes private restrooms and the Club Room.

Golden Gate Ballroom

Accessed by five glass elevators, and located on the 32nd floor of the Tower Building, Alexandra’s has been deemed “the most spectacular special event venue in Northern California.” It has floor-to-ceiling windows with skyline views of San Francisco, highlighting Coit Tower and both the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. This is an exquisite venue for large social events.

California Ballroom

6,000 square feet and can be divided into two separate rooms. Located on the second floor in our Tower Building, the California Ballroom has nine-foot ceilings inlaid with chandeliers.

Colonial Ballroom

The Colonial Room on the mezzanine level was used to showcase big bands during the San Francisco jazz movement. Ornately decorated, it has Operetta balconies, chandeliers and a wall-length mural depicting a scene from the Tuscan countryside. This space is ideally suited for receptions or ceremonies prior to moving into the Grand Ballroom.
